“Because I am stronger than you will ever be.” He snarled, spitting directly in her face. “I am not going to go down without a fight, my love. I can’t. The one person I loved is gone, and I refuse to let you win this game easily.”

Anna barely moved when he spit in her face. She just calmly wiped it away before letting out a smirk. “Then please remind me, who has been wounded and defeated right now?” she asked with an amused grin. Her fingers took hold of his chin, pushing it up as she looked at him. “Give up, Moriarty. You’ve been threatening to kill and defeat me ever since your precious little tiger got his brains splattered across the floor. If you’d really be as strong as you say, you would’ve eliminated me by now.”

“ASAP.” Jim repeated, watching her expression carefully. “Off you pop then, sweetheart.” He waved her in the direction of her office, handing the file over completely. “I’ll be in my office, when you’re ready with the information, and don’t forget that I can keep track of your movements.”

Anna looked at him with a grin tugging at her lips for a moment before taking the file. “I am well-aware of that, boss.” she answered with a soft chuckle. “Have you ever caught me being naughty?” She tilted her head a bit before winking at him. “Thought so.” she said when he didn’t reply before turning around and making her way to her office. “Expect me back soon.”

It had taken her about two hours and twelve minutes to find everything Moriarty had requested for. It was funny to see just how easily she’d gotten into the officials laptops and smartphones. There had been some security but it was absolutely incapable of keeping Anna out. With a sigh, she leaned back as she printed out the entire file. Her hand traveled through her hair as she stood up. After a quick look in the mirror, she grabbed the papers and made her way out of her office. Not a minute later she gently knocked the door to Moriarty’s office. “Gift delivery.” she chuckled.

Jim was growling; the lowest octave possible, rumbling through his chest. He wasn’t going to give up easily, not a chance in Hell. He pushed himself into a seated position and glared at her. “You aren’t going to kill me, Anna.” He stated flatly.

Moriarty was still stronger than she’d estimated but she didn’t show it. She didn’t pull back, she didn’t wince now that he was so close to her again. “And why not, Jim? Please, do amuse me.” she replied sarcastically, bringing her face close to his and looking straight into his eyes.

“Get me everything in two and a half hours, and your pay is doubled for the week.” Jim offered, tugging the file back and slipping it into his briefcase. “I need to know what they’re going to be asking of me, when they meet me tomorrow, get me that specific detail, and maybe I’ll give you something interesting to do next week.”

Anna shook her head lightly. Of course she could get him everything he desired in two and a half hours. In fact, she’d probably have it in two. She’d added one hour to her estimated time just to see what exactly Moriarty was expecting of her. And it had turned out to get her quite a pleasing offer. “Very well, boss. You’ll have the information asap.” she said with a little smile tugging at her lips.

The blade pierced Jim’s flesh, and he let out a keening growl in the back of his throat. “You’re going to fucking pay!” He shot at her; not specifying a particular crime enabled Jim to imagine her paying for everything she had done to him up until that point, and Sebastian’s name rang clear in his ears.

This was the satisfying part. An almost evil grin curled at Anna’s lips as she looked at the man before her. The rage in his eyes only amused her more. Teasingly softly she let her fingers run through his hair. “Darling, I’m making you pay.” she smirked before pushing him further down onto the ground. With a kick to his side, she forced him to roll onto back. She knelt down, placing her knee in his side and her hand firmly around his throat. “I swore on Sherlock’s grave my face would be the last thing you’d ever see on this Earth. So look at it, you bastard. Look at it and know it was an ordinary girl that made the great Jim Moriarty bleed.” she spat at him, her face twisted in hate.

“There’s a series of Middle Eastern dignitaries who are currently staying in Central London.” He explained, searching his phone for the email in question, he flashed the screen in her direction: an image briefly displayed before her. “Think you can hack into their communications for me, see what they’re after?”

Anna raised her eyebrows lightly, letting out an amused smirk. “Child’s play, boss.” she said with a grin tugging at her lips. Quickly she memorized the men’s faces. She knew those faces, she’d seen them in the MI6 files she’d been looking through earlier today. “Give me three hours max and I’ll give you every phonecall, every text and every email sent and received.”

“You couldn’t kill me.” Jim snarled shifting away from the blade and glaring up at her. “You’re too much of a coward, and we both know that you are.” He spat, reaching for her hand and pulling it away from his throat. “I don’t ask you to show mercy, I ask you to show spirit. If you’re the lioness: prove it.”

Anna shook her head slowly. “Coward?” she snapped at him. “Who’s the coward here!? I fight you myself. All you do, well did, is hide behind your precious little sniper.” And with those words, she drove the knife into his side.

“You’re lucky you’ve got a job, my love.” Jim commented, slamming the door to his office shut behind him. “And, you call me Jimmy again, and I shall not hesitate in slitting your throat and feeding you your own insides, is that understood?” He growled dangerously. “I asked you to come here for a reason, I hope you haven’t forgotten that I actually pay you to do a job.”

Anna raised her eyebrows at the man, not reacting just yet. “Of course.” she mumbled with a sigh. He was right, though. He was paying her and she was relying on the protection of his name. But then again, it wasn’t like she was going to admit that so easily. “Sure, boss.” she said, not even blinking when he growled at her. “Who or what’s the target this time?”

“Oh, Jimmy!” Anna’s voice was high-pitched, filled with amusement as she called out her boss’s name. He hated it and she knew that, exactly the reason why she did it. If there was one thing Anna was good at besides hacking things and killing people, it was annoying the shit out of her employer. It’d earned her some bruises before but that didn’t keep her from doing it. Softly the heels of her pumps tapped onto the floor of the hallway as she waited for Moriarty to show up. About an hour ago he’d texted her saying she was being expected at his house. The criminal knew she hated being called to his lap like a dog, so she’d waited this long just to annoy him. Still, she was standing right where he wanted her, leaving her waiting now. With a sigh, her gaze wandered off, inspecting every inch of the oh so familiar hallway. Nothing had changed since the first time she’d stood there. “Come on, boss.” she mumbled to herself after minutes of silence. “Game over. These heels are killing me and I’m in need of a smoke.”

Jim crippled at the shot, dropping to his good knees and growling. His hands sought the weapon in her hands and pulled it from her grip. With shaking hands, he trained the sight on her stomach, tilting his head to one side. “Should I?” He snarled. “Should I return the favour?”

Anna laughed, she couldn’t help it. She simply kicked the gun out of his hand before grabbing his hair and forcing his head back as far as she could. From inside her jacket she pulled a small but sharp pocket knife, which she pushed against his throat. “It was stupid to challenge me, darling.” she said, bringing her lips to meet his ear. “There’s a reason people call girls like me a lioness. Anger them and you’ll regret it.” She could feel how a bit of his warm blood seeped down her fingers as the knife pierced his skin. “I won’t kill you. Killing you would be showing mercy and I’m beyond the stage of being merciful.”
